Al-Bayt Stadium

Al-Bayt Stadium will be honoured to have the opening match following the marvellous opening ceremony. It has a capacity of 60,000 and will host eight matches. It is located 35 kilometres north of Doha, Al-Khor, a drive of 40 minutes from Doha.

The stadium is designed like a tent. That’s why it is named Al-Bayt because the nomadic people of the area use Bayt al sha’ar tents. It was built in 2021. The capacity of the stadium will be reduced to 32,000 after the FIFA World Cup 2022. The extra seats will be given to the developing nations. There is a plan to make a five-star hotel and shopping centre in the area.

Stadium 974

Education City Stadium

It is located at Al Rayyan, 7 kilometres West of Doha. It was built in 2020 and hosted the FIFA Club World Cup final in 2021.

It will provide a platform for eight matches in the FIFA World Cup 2022 with a capacity of 40,000. It is situated in a beautiful green area with several Qatari universities surrounding it. Al -Thumama Stadium

It was built in 2021 at a distance of 12 kilometers in the south of Doha. Thumama is the name of a native tree. The stadium is designed like a traditional Middle East cap, Safiya. The footballers will play on this ground in 8 matches. It can handle a crowd of 40,000, but the capacity will be reduced to 20,000 after the World Cup. The site will be used for a mosque and hotel.

Al-Janoub Stadium

It is the stadium that hosted the Asian Champions League final in 2020 as it was built in 2019. The designer of the stadium gave it the shape of a dhow boat. It has a central cooling system which keeps it alive throughout the year.

It Is located at a distance of 18 kilometres in the South of Doha, Al Wakrah. It will take responsibility for seven matches. Its current capacity is 40,000, but it will be reduced to half after the event.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium will host seven matches of the tournament. It is at a distance of 20 kilometres in the West of Doha, Al Rayyan. It has a capacity of 40,000, but 20,000 will remain after the World Cup with Al Rayyan Sports Club.

It Is on the desert’s edge and was built on the land of old ground which also had the same name. The outlook of the stadium is designed in such a way that it represents different aspects of Qatar with glowing patterns.
